Palace in Dobrocin, Warmia-Masuria

Dobrocin: manor house in former East Prussia.

The palace building was built in the first half of the 19th century on the remains of an older manor house and rebuilt several times during the following centuries. The current appearance is in the neo-Renaissance style.

The following elements have been preserved in the main building:

• The original room layout
• window and door paneling
• Stucco ceilings, wooden and coffered ceilings
• Historic floors
• Historic fireplaces and tiled stoves

The manor house and outbuildings are located in a 10-hectare park with a pond. The usable area of the main building is about 2,500 m², the built-up area is 1,721 m². In 2003, various works were carried out, such as waterproofing the roof, replacing the tiles and installing new windows. However, further extensive renovation work is required.

The school building on the park side behind the mansion is a three-story building with a basement, an addition and two staircases. It was built in 1954 and offers a usable area of 1,681 m², with a built-up area of 816 m².

The estate is located in the picturesque area of Warmia-Masuria and offers many tourist attractions. It is well connected to the S7 expressway (Gdańsk-Rabka Zdrój), about 7 km away. Ostróda is about 34 km away, Gdańsk about 100 km and Warsaw 240 km.

There are various conceivable uses for the property, such as a conference center, a hotel with spa or a retirement home.
